WhatsApp View Once feature News
WhatsApp for Windows beta 2.2212.2.0 has been released for early testers to see shared photographs and videos.
The beta version, however, does not allow you to send multimedia information that can only be seen once.
The 'View Once' option was made available to Android and iPhone users last year.
Notably, if a media is sent by a user via the ‘View Once’ feature and it is not opened for a period of 14 days, it will automatically be deleted.
In order to use this feature, a user needs to update his/her WhatsApp to the latest version.
Users can also send the View Once media on the WhatsApp Web app, the Desktop App and on KaiOS.
The View Once feature allows users to send ephemeral messages that disappear after a user has seen them.
It is also important for users to know that if the message sent is not opened, then it won’t stay for long in the recipient’s inbox and the limitation is 14 days.
This WhatsApp update is available on WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.21.15.11 for now and it will soon be available to all Android beta testers.
