Mahakumbh 2025 Prayagraj: At the Kumbh Mela, pilgrims from different parts of the country are being provided with free SIM cards from their respective circles. 

State-owned telecom firm BSNL has partnered with Tata Communications to provide its customers access to 44 million wi-fi hotspots globally at fixed prices starting Rs 999.

Google and Railtel have successfully partnered to launch high-speed Wi-Fi service at the 100th station. The latest to add to the list is Udhagamandalam (Ooty).

State-owned BSNL has undertaken a Rs 1,000 crore investment plan which include launch of Skype facility and setting up of Wi-Fi hotspots at tourist places, a top official said on Friday.

BSNL said it is focussing on key projects of NOFN, providing wi-fi hotspots, mobile wallet and mobile governance services as it prepares itself for Digital India.
