Google has released the top searches list 2022 on Google globally. Popular word game Wordle grabbed the top spot. Interestingly, IPL and India cricket matches were in the top searches list of 2022.

Wordle gives players six chances to predict a five-letter word that is chosen at random. A letter that isn't part of the word in any way appears grey. According to The New York Times, about 300,000 individuals play it every day.

The New York Times did not say how much it paid for Wordle, but it was "in the low seven digits." By the middle of January, the number had risen to 300,000, and millions of individuals were playing the game on a daily basis.
