Chinese handset maker Xiaomi has announced its second 'Made in India' model Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime. The smartphone is exculsively available for sale on Amazon India since 10 morning on Tuesday with Rs 8,499 ($125 approx).

Xiaomi had started its own e-commerce portal in June this year.
The company today said it has partnered Redington to make its smartphones available across physical retail stores.
Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi Inc. on Sunday said the company sold a whopping 61.12 million smartphones in 2014, up 227 per cent year on year.
International Vice President Hugo Barra said the company is now making provision to sell 100,000 phones a week in October, when India celebrates the festival of Diwali.
