Yahoo on Tuesday announced a new feature of sharing videos on its instant messaging platform Yahoo Messenger.  

So, after the decided date users still using the app will no longer be able to log in or send messages.

Yahoo Messenger will now support Hindi and five other non-English languages in order to help bridge the language gap and create personalised experiences for its users, tech giant Yahoo announced on Tuesday.

New Yahoo Messenger also lets people "mute" conversations to be spared from being bothered by notifications when they would rather focus their attention elsewhere.

It is the first complete remake of Yahoo Messenger since it was introduced 17 years ago and comes as smartphone lifestyles have led to a booming trend of firing off digital missives or photos at nearly any opportunity.
