POCSO Case Against BS Yediyurappa: The High Court has ordered that former Chief Minister Yediyurappa not be arrested in a POCSO case, while he is required to appear before the CID on June 17 and cooperate with the investigation.

Yediyurappa In POCSO Case: The warrant stems from a complaint by the mother of a 17-year-old girl, alleging that Yediyurappa sexually assaulted her daughter during a meeting on February 2nd of this year at his residence in Dollars Colony.

Whether it is selection of candidates or quelling dissidence in multiple constituencies, the party's 81-year-old central election committee member is seen to be 'man-of-the-season'. 

BJP insiders said there was always an attempt within the party to extend its base across Karnataka. The decision makers have been trying to limit the dependency of the party on the Lingayat vote bank by extending the party base to the Vokkaliga and other communities. 

An accident with the chopper of former Karnataka Chief Minister Yeddyurappa was averted by accident. During the landing of Yediyurappa's chopper in Kalaburagi area, the gusty wind blew away the slums nearby due to the storm from the blade. Seeing this, the pilot stopped the landing and survived the accident.

The notices were issued on a petition by activist TJ Abraham seeking quashing of an order of additional city civil and sessions judge, who had dismissed his petition for want of sanction from a competent authority to try Yediyurappa, the then chief minister and former minister ST Somashekar.

Karnataka CM Yediyurappa has dismissed reports of resignation. Yediyurappa clearly says that he had come to meet Prime Minister Modi in connection with a project.

Karnataka has only last year formulated new Act exclusively to govern Bengaluru Civic Body - Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike and as a result of this, the elections for this biggest civic body was postponed till the process of ward delimitation was completed.

On August 17, the Chief Minister had said that the state government will approach the court for such an official to look into the damage assessment part.
