The dawn of Friday witnessed the fifth International Yoga Day, as people across the nation participated in the celebrations with enthusiasm. The PM shared the stage with Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das, Governor Droupadi Murmu, Union Minister of state (Independent) for AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik and Jharkhand Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi. The Prime Minister said in just three years the International Yoga Day has grown into a worldwide public movement and become an integral part of public life in many countries.

"Yoga not just connects humanity with spirituality but also connects human beings with each other. It contributes in seeking truth and knowing self," Pokharel said.  

Union Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Delhi BJP unit chief Manoj Tiwari participated at celebrations at a park in Shahdara along with the general public.  

Yoga has been embraced by people from all walks of life and in almost every country in the world, all thanks to its countless benefits for the human body and mind.

Addressing the participants during Yoga Day celebrations in Ahmedabad, Vijay Rupani said people should try to do yoga regularly.

Union Textile Minister Irani performed asanas along with around 4,000 enthusiasts at the event. Chandigarh MP Kirron Kher and Chandigarh unit BJP chief Sanjay Tandon were also present.
