The Prime Minister said in just three years the International Yoga Day has grown into a worldwide public movement and become an integral part of public life in many countries.
"Yoga not just connects humanity with spirituality but also connects human beings with each other. It contributes in seeking truth and knowing self," Pokharel said.
Union Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Delhi BJP unit chief Manoj Tiwari participated at celebrations at a park in Shahdara along with the general public.
Yoga has been embraced by people from all walks of life and in almost every country in the world, all thanks to its countless benefits for the human body and mind.
Addressing the participants during Yoga Day celebrations in Ahmedabad, Vijay Rupani said people should try to do yoga regularly.
