Wadia Group-promoted budget carrier GoAir is planning to go for an initial public offer in the current fiscal, ahead of the scheduled delivery of 72 new Airbus A-320 planes starting April next year.
Tata-SIA joint venture airline Vistara, which is all set to take wings from Friday with flights connecting Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad, is expected to take delivery of its third Airbus A-320 aircraft this week.
The first Airbus A-320 aircraft of Tata-SIA joint venture Vistara airline, painted with its logo and livery, landed at the IGI Airport Wednesday, taking the carrier a step closer to its launch.
In quick succession, Tata- SIA joint venture Vistara, which is awaiting a flying permit from aviation regulator DGCA, has taken the delivery of the second Airbus A-320 aircraft, barely a week after it received the first.
Airline officials said the operational launch may be held in the later part of October.
Ahead of joining the Star Alliance, Air India has virtually completed integration of its systems with that of the group.
