Senior Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) leader Zoii Nath Sharma on Sunday (December 15) that a party meeting was held on Saturday (December 14) during which it was decided that the AGP will file a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the implementation of Citizenship Amendment Act.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has finalised its alliances in the Northeast, setting a target of winning at least 22 of the 25 Lok Sabha seats from eight states of the region, party general secretary Ram Madhav claimed on Wednesday.

As Asom Gana Parishad or AGP walked out of the NDA, the BJP is now left with the Bodoland Peoples Front (BPF) and the sole Independent MLA in the assembly as allies in the state.

"The sum of Rs 2,000 crore is huge. All political leaders, officials and others should be brought under the ambit of the investigation," AGP said.

Both AGP and BPF are likely to get two berths each in the new cabinet initially, although the Atul Bora-led party has been demanding three instead of two, a media report said on Tuesday. 

The oath-taking ceremony will be held at Khanapara field in Guwahati, Sarbananda​ Sonowal said.
