Mysuru to remain under a strict lockdown until July 5
The Karnataka government has extended the COVID restrictions under Section 144, which prohibits assembly of more than 4 people in public places in Bengaluru, until June 21. Section 144 CrPC, which prohibits assembly of more than 4 people in public places, will remain in effect till June 21 midnight.
This comes a day after traffic issues returned to the IT capital city as the lockdown began implementing relaxations in 19 districts after more than a month.
The government has imposed complete lockdown in Bengaluru Urban and Bengaluru Rural districts among a few others since 8 pm of July 14 till 5 am on July 22.
As India enters its third phase of lockdown on Monday (May 4, 2020), the capital city of Karnataka got back to a bit normalcy as relaxation like opening of standalone shops and liquor stores were permitted in the city. The Karnataka government on Sunday also issued an order to allow inter-district movement of individuals and vehicles to 'undertake permitted activities' during the lockdown in the state.
