Nitish Kumar has returned as the chief minister of Bihar for a record seventh time on Monday. He will head a 14-strong council of ministers including two deputy chief ministers.

Nitish Kumar in a press conference said media misinterpreted my comment. 'I always say the same thing in every election `ant bhala to sab bhala`, you got it wrong', he said. The Janata Dal (U) president clarified in his first interaction with media since NDA won the election.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 74 seats, while the Janata Dal (United) secured 43 seats.

The Sena mouthpiece stated that 'we are not ready to believe that Tejashwi has lost the Bihar election.'

The NDA has won the Bihar Assembly election after securing 125 seats. Though RJD has become the single-largest party in the state with 75 seats. The JD(U) managed to win some seats with a huge victory with margin of more than 50,000 votes.

Of the 125 seats for NDA, the BJP has 74 and JD(U) won 43 seats, HAM and VIP got four seats each. Nitish Kumar's seat at the CM chair now depends entirely on BJP. BJP could ask for more ministers and have a greater say in governance as it now has more number of lawmakers.

The ruling NDA managed to secure a majority in Bihar, again. The RJD-led Grand Alliance managed to win 110 seats. The BJP won 74 seats, while the JD (U) secured victory over 43 seats.

PM Modi said, "sisters and daughters of Bihar have voted this time in a record number to show how big their role is in the self-dependent Bihar" "We are satisfied that the NDA got an opportunity to give new confidence to the mother power of Bihar in the past years" This confidence will give us the strength to facilitate the progress of Bihar, he added

Amit Shah hailed the double engine development on PM Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar in Bihar. He also thanked the people of Bihar for extending their support to the NDA government.
