Bihar Assembly Election Result News
Voting for seven assembly seats across six states has started. Many of these seats are a direct contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party and regional parties.
Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar was administered the oath of office by Governor Fagu Chauhan which was attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president J P Nadda among others.
JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar tendered his resignation from the post of the chief minister after meeting Governor Phagu Chauhan.
The governor accepted the resignation and asked him to hold office till the formation of a new government.
RJD's Tejashwi Yadav has slammed the National Democratic Alliance claiming that it won the assembly election through money, muscle and deceit.

He won by 21,139 votes, as per the Election Commission (EC).
