Chelsea have signed Germany`s highly-rated attacking midfielder Kai Havertz from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen on a five-year contract.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed but British media reported the fee for the 21-year-old was in the region of 71 million pounds ($94.34 million).
Havertz, who had two years left on his Leverkusen contract, scored 46 goals with 31 assists in 150 games for the German club.
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard said that Thiago Silva will bring much needed experience to a young Chelsea side.
Chelsea had signed the 35-year-old defender on a free transfer from PSG. Silva had led the French champions in the past few seasons.
Silva made 315 appearances across all competitions for PSG and has also represented the Brazilian National team 89 times.
