Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief and Babasaheb Thackeray's son, Uddhav Thackeray, made a big statement during the "victory rally" and said that he and his cousin Raj Thackeray have 'come together to stay together'. Meanwhile, their coming together could be a pivotal point for their political rivals and allies alike. 

After the Maharashtra government canceled the three-language policy resolutions, Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS announced a joint 'victory' rally, marking the coming together of Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray for the first time in two decades. During their address in the program, both leaders made big statements related to the now-nixed language policy and several other points. 

During the Lok Sabha elections, Raj had given his 'unconditional support' to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and this rumoured reunion with Uddhav would mean an end to that support.
