Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Friday denied any politics behind the timing of filing a chargesheet against former Chief Minister and Congressman Digambar Kamat in connection with the $976,630 Louis Berger bribery scandal.

Filing the chargesheet in the Louis Berger bribery case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had named former Goa PWD minister Churchill Alemao as an accused. Former CM Digambar Kamat has also been named but only as an suspect.

Goa Crime Branch will file the chargesheet in the Louis Berger bribery case on September 28, naming former minister Churchill Alemao and others as "accused", while ex-Goa chief minister Digambar Kamat's name will be added as an accused in the supplementary chargesheet.
