Strong demand for 4G devices in emerging markets like India, helped smartphone sales grow 6.7 percent to 366.2 million units in April-June 2017 as compared to year-ago period, as per data from research firm Gartner.

World Bank on Sunday maintained its forecast for global growth in 2017 and 2018 unchanged at 2.7 percent and 2.9 percent, respectively, as manufacturing and trade are picking up and confidence is improving.  

The interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve reflects a strengthening US economy that will benefit emerging market economies but also make them vulnerable to volatile capital flows, Moody's Investors Service said today.
