Kurukshetra Farmers Protest: Farmers have blocked NH-44 for the demand of MSP. Farmers' organizations are demanding to increase the sunflower MSP. At the same time, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait has also reached to support the farmers.

The state Congress unit, which is an ally of the MVA, has already extended its support to the protest. They halted at Ghatandevi near Igatpuri hill town for overnight stay. NCP chief Pawar, state Congress president and revenue minister Balasaheb Thorat, and Shiv Sena leader and state tourism minister Aaditya Thackeray will also address the rally, it said.

At least 70,000 farmers from Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Haryana are taking out a Kisan Kranti Padyatra, marching towards the Rajghat.

The Mazdoor Kisan Sangharsh Rally will be the "first combined" rally by Left-oriented organisations -- the All India Agricultural Workers` Union (AIAWU), the Centre of Indian Trade Unions, and the All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS), organisers had said on Tuesday.
