The finance ministry said such glitches on the portal leads to an unhealthy tax compliance requirement, more so on account of such disruptions, some taxpayers end up becoming liable for payment of late fee, interest.
The functionality to fill the claim form was provided on the GSTN portal in August 2017.
As per the Central GST and State GST Acts, an interest at the rate of 18 per cent will be levied for delayed payment of tax and filing of returns.
