The court has given its verdict in the Hathras incident. All the four accused in the Hathras Gangrape Case have been acquitted in the rape case. 1 accused has been sentenced to life imprisonment.

On September 17, the father (who lives in Hathras) was informed about the incident. He went to Aligarh and took the younger girl to the police station, and from there he took her to Malkan Singh Hospital
The next day she was shifted to a private hospital in Mathura, and on September 21, she was shifted to the district hospital in Aligarh
She was referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi on October 4 and taken there on the same day. The girl died in Safdarjung hospital on the same day
Citing the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data of 2019, UP CM Yogi said that the state reported a punishment rate of 55.2 per cent in cases of crime against women which is the highest in the country.
Yogi also directed the police to act fast and seriously in cases pertaining to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, the government said in a statement.
