The top five vendors of the year were Xiaomi, Samsung, Vivo, Realme and Oppo.

The India smartphone market saw its highest-ever shipment of 36.9 million in the second quarter (Q2) of 2019 -- with 9.9 per cent year-on-year (YoY) and 14.8 per cent quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) growth, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC).

However, the feature phone market continued its decline with 32.4 million-unit shipments, registering a drop of 26.3 percent YoY in 2Q19.
The shipment during the fourth quarter of 2018 stood at 1.99 million units, down by 23.8 percent year-on-year.
This is the first time when the smartphone market is at par with the feature phone market, each contributing 50 percent to the overall mobile phone market.
Xiaomi retained the top spot by shipping 10 million units and capturing 29.7 percent share.
The commercial PC market saw 1.52 million units being shipped in the third quarter with the share of large education projects increasing to 50.2 per cent from 45.2 per cent a year ago.
