In the last few days, many news of the poor system of the electricity department came to light from Uttar Pradesh. The situation can be gauged from the fact that when the Energy Minister himself came to inspect, the electricity in the area was lost.

These days power cuts have created an outcry in most of the states of the country. The condition of the capital Delhi is also suffering due to power cuts. The government says that the situation is being monitored, there is no need to panic.

Amidst the rising heat, the whole of North India is in the grip of Heat Wave. In April itself, the temperature has crossed 45 degrees. In such a situation, think that if there is a power crisis, then the problem will increase a lot.

"Happy to share that cumulative coal supplies to thermal power plants from all sources including Coal India Limited recorded more than 2 million tonnes yesterday. We are increasing coal dispatch to power plants further to ensure sufficient coal stocks at power plants," tweeted Joshi. 

India is still dependent on coal for the production of about 70% of its electricity. But at present the bad news for the people of India is that recently the Government of India has said that there is a shortage of coal in the country and only 2-5 days of coal is left for power generation.
