EAM S Jaishankar on Tuesday said that he discussed strengthening India's bilateral cooperation and reviewed regional developments after meeting Iran's Foreign Minister. The EAM had made a stopover in Iran as part of his key Moscow visit.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will make a stopover in Iran this week as part of his key Moscow visit. During the Iran stopover, he could meet his Iranian counterpart Javad Zarif, details of which are still being decided. Javad Zarif had visited India earlier in 2020 to be part of Raisina Dialogue.

Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif, who is in India on a three-day visit to attend the fifth edition of the Raisina Dialogue, on Wednesday warned that the current geo-political situation in the region is ''very dangerous.''
