An under-construction bridge in West Bengal's Malda collapsed today (February 16) leaving at least two dead and five others injured.
The bridge in south Kolkata had collapsed killing three and injuring more than 25 on September 4.
Mamata Banerjee has sought a report from engineers regarding the cause of the bridge collapse.
The e-tender, issued by PWD Alipore Division, lists out the repair work that needs to be undertaken.
The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon killing at least one person and injuring over 25 others after a part of a 40-year-old bridge collapsed in Majerhat area of Kolkata in West Bengal.
The Majerhat bridge collapsed at around 4.45 pm, following which fire tenders, ambulances and teams of NDRF and local police rushed to the spot.
Babul Supriyo blamed the West Bengal government for not paying any attention to several flyovers in Kolkata which are in depleted condition.
