NASA's Thermal Infrared Sensor (TIRS) on Landsat 8 satellite captured a new snap of the 5,800 square kilometre iceberg that split off from the Antarctic Peninsula's Larsen C ice shelf on July 10-12.
According to Google, Landsat 8 is capable of capturing twice as many images as Landsat 7 does every day.
The northern reaches of North America are getting greener, said the study that provides the most detailed look yet at plant life across Alaska and Canada.
