According to the Supreme Court's direction, admissions in all government and private medical colleges in the country have to be done through the centralised counselling system on the basis of NEET examination results.
The MCI on Monday (August 10) issued a public notice saying that the medical qualification obtained from PoK will not be registered in India.
The MCI added that persons possessing such certificates will not be allowed to practice modern medicine in India.
The MCI move comes months after the Indian Meterological Department (IMD) started to issue the weather updates of the areas that are part of PoK.
