Ministry of Civil Aviation has now allowed airlines to operate a maximum of 85 per cent of their pre-COVID-19 domestic flights.
The carriers have been operating at 72.5 per cent since August 12.
Between July 5 and August 12, the cap stood at 65 per cent
The cap was at 50 per cent between June 1 and July 5.
The government is expected to complete the sale of the national carrier with at least two buyers expected to submit financial bids by September 15.
Air India is laden with a huge debt of around Rs 43,000 crores of which Rs 22,000 crores will also be transferred to the Air India Asset Holding Limited (AIAHL)
The government declined to share any details on expectations from the sale of Air India.
The plan is going to focus on 16 areas including policy measures and the development of airports.
The 100-day plan has been prepared after combined consultations.
Out of the total 16 areas, 8 relate to policy while four pertain to reforms in the aviation sector.
