Lewis Hamilton`s domination of Formula One is "getting a bit boring" and the time is fast approaching for the younger generation to take over at the top, says Red Bull youngster Max Verstappen.

Formula One, which will mark its 1,000th race this year at the Chinese Grand Prix, awarded a point for the fastest lap over the first decade of its existence as a world championship from 1950-59.

The free public event on Wednesday, March 13, will involve all 20 race drivers and the 10 team principals in the Melbourne's Federation Square.
