Rashtrapati Bhavan Mughal Garden: The famous Mughal Garden of Rashtrapati Bhavan will now be known as 'Amrit Udyan'. President Draupadi Murmu inaugurated the Rashtrapati Bhavan Garden Festival 2023 on Sunday.
The celebrated Mughal Gardens at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi boasts over 150 varieties of roses, tulips, Asiatic lilies, daffodils and other ornamental flowers, and is spread over 15 acres.

Mughal Gardens Renamed 'Amrit Udyan': The Mughal Gardens, now renamed 'Amrit Udyan', is spread over 15 acres. It has often been portrayed as the “soul of the Presidential palace”, the website says. It will be opened on January 29 by President Droupadi Murmu.
"The Mughal Gardens will remain open for the general public from February 12, 2022 to March 16, 2022 (except on Mondays which are maintenance days) between 1000 hrs to 1700 hrs (last entry at 1600 hrs)," the statement said.
President Ram Nath Kovind opened the annual 'Udyanotsav' of Rashtrapati Bhavan here on Thursday. "The Mughal Gardens will remain open for the general public from February 12, 2022, to March 16, 2022 (except on Mondays which are maintenance days) between 1000 hrs to 1700 hrs (last entry at 1600 hrs)," the statement said.
The famous Mughal Gardens of Kashmir are all set to get the UNESCO World Heritage tag. The Jammu and Kashmir government has signed an MoU with a private firm for the conservation of Six gardens in the Valley.
Mughal Gardens at Rashtrapati Bhavan will re-open for the public from today
Visitors can enter the Mughal Gardens for free from February 13 to March 21 between 10 AM and 5.00 PM.
During the tour, visitors have to follow COVID-19 protocols such as wearing of a mask, maintaining social distance etc.
They will have to undergo thermal screening at the entry point.
People vulnerable to the COVID-19 are discouraged for the tour.
