A pothole created by heavy rainfall on one of the taxiways at the Mumbai airport delayed flight operations for the second time in less than a month.

Passengers flying in and out of the nation's financial capital should brace for long delays from Tuesday till the end of November as the only runway of the nation's second busiest airport will be shut for five hours for repair work.

The Bombay High Court on Wednesday asked city-based firm SGI Commex, which claims to have won the auction of Vijay Mallya's luxury jet, to file an affidavit in response to a petition filed by Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL), seeking taxes and hangar charges of Rs 3.95 crore.
