The attached property comprises a two-storied residential house constructed on 13.5 marlas of land, valued at approximately Rs 55 lakhs, belonging to Khazir Mohammad Tiploo.

A double-storied residential house, built over 5 marlas of land and owned by Peer Iftikar Hussain, a resident of Hutmurah, Mattan, has been attached under Section 68-F(1) of the NDPS Act. 

During the year 2024, 94 cases under the NDPS Act have been registered in several police stations across the district, and 156 accused persons involved in peddling and trafficking of narcotics and psychotropic substances have been arrested by Srinagar Police.

The two individuals who were arrested were identified as Sukhdev Singh and Avtar Singh, who are linked to Pakistan-based smugglers.

The attached properties include a commercial building constructed at a prime location on NHW 44 at Semthan Bijbehara.  

The intelligence agencies have called it a big cocktail of terrorism which includes numbers of terror outfits and ultras. 

The police is investigating the nexus of the terror module with Punjab-based narcotics smugglers and further probe has been set into motion. 

'Today during checking at Braripora Handwara, one person named Syed Irfan Abdullah was apprehended carrying cash concealed in a geyser. On counting the recovered cash in presence of the Magistrate, the recovered amount was over 57 lakh', SP Handwara Sheema Qasba said.

Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday inaugurated a two-day national conference on drug trafficking and national security. The conference is organised by the Narcotics Control Bureau, PTI reported.
