Students protesting over UGC's move to scrap non-NET fellowships on Saturday got the backing of the students of Pune's FTII, who had earlier this week called off their stir against appointments to their governing council after 139 days.

Though the UGC has assured the agitating students of reviewing the decision of scrapping the non-NET fellowship, the protesters from universities across Delhi have decided to continue with their agitation.
Caught in between the aggrieved students and UGC over discontinuation of the non-NET fellowship, the HRD ministry on Friday said the decision will be reviewed by an expert panel even as protests by students from universities across Delhi entered the fourth day today.
