Union Minister Giriraj Singh should apologise to the people of Bihar for not working for them ever despite being a Central minister, Janta Dal (United) spokesperson Sanjay Singh said on Sunday.

Bihar Principal Secretary Health, Sanjay Kumar added that experts have also said that vector density of mosquitoes is increasing and 24 teams have been constituted to spray 'Temefos' in Patna to kill mosquitoes.

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to discuss the flood situation in Bihar and said that the central government will provide all possible assistance.

The pictures have been massively shared and the comments section is flooded with mixed responses from the netizens. While some have thanked the photographer for showing the plight of the city, others have slammed him for his insensitivity towards the condition of the city. 

Sushil Modi and his family members were stranded at their residence at Rajendra Nagar in Patna for the last few days due to incessant rains in the city.

The video also shows people consoling the rickshaw-puller who is seen in tears and asking for help. 

Heavy rainfall has disrupted normal life out in Bihar's Patna since last few days as the city and its nearby areas has been witnessing a flood-like situation. 

In a press statement, she expressed hope that the respective state governments and local administration were taking sufficient relief and remedial measures.

Earlier today, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had said that the administration is making all efforts to help people and that proper arrangements are in place.

With overflowing drains throughout the city, water has also entered different houses in many localities of Patna.

According to the India Meteorological Department, the city will receive moderate rainfall accompanied by a thunderstorm for the next two days.
