The verbal conflict between current chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and former chief minister Kamal Nath in Madhya Pradesh is becoming worse. Kamal Nath, according to CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, "forgets even after making a commitment." Chouhan said, "Congress is a master of deception."

India's economy is projected to slow to 6.5 per cent in the fiscal year starting April but will remain the fastest-growing major economy in the world as it fared better in dealing with the extraordinary set of challenges the globe has faced, the Economic Survey 2022-23 said.

The Economic Survey said that India remains the fastest-growing major economy in the worldGDP in nominal terms has been projected at 11 per cent in next fiscal.

At least three shocks have hit the global economy since 2020, Economic Survey for 2022-23 has noted. Central banks across economies led by the Federal Reserve responded with synchronised policy rate hikes to curb inflation. The rate hike by the US Fed drove capital into the US markets causing the US Dollar to appreciate against most currencies.

 Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tabled the Economic Survey for 2022-23 in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday soon after the President Droupadi Murmu's Address to both Houses of Parliament. 

The Economic Survey 2022-23 was tabled in Parliament by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The Survey details the state of economy in the current fiscal, while giving a sneak peek into the future.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to the media before starting of the Budget session 2020. He said "We all should make sure that in this session, we lay a strong foundation for this decade. This session will focus mainly on economic issues. I want that in both houses there should be good debates on these issues".

Budget session of Parliament began on January 31, 2020, and its first segment will continue till February 11, 2020. The Economic Survey 2019-20 will be presented in Parliament by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman after President Ram Nath Kovind's address. She will also present Budget 2020-21 in the Lok Sabha on February 1 at 11 am. President Kovind started his speech in the Central Hall of Parliament at 11 am. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu will also chair a meeting of floor leaders of Rajya Sabha at his residence today. The first phase of the session will conclude on February 11, while the second part of the session will begin from March 2 and end on April 3.
