After tension with China, the Indian Army is fully deployed on the border. Meanwhile, France has handed over the 36th fighter aircraft of Rafale consignment to India. Rafale is such a deadly aircraft that it can reach the LAC within minutes from its base.

This is the second such agreement that the Indian Air Force has signed for buying okayed airframes.
The French Air Force has been replacing its old fleet of Mirages with new Rafale fighter jets.
3 more Rafale fighter jets are expected to arrive in India on Nov 4.

The Rafale jets will fly directly from Istres in France to Jamnagar.
IAF chief, Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria on Tuesday said that an ‘uneasy status’ prevails at northern frontiers with China at present in an apparent reference to the heightened border tension with Beijing.
The IAF chief said at the moment “no war, no peace” status was holding along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) despite concerted efforts to end the ongoing standoff at several friction points in eastern Ladakh.
Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria, however, added that the armed forces are prepared for any eventuality and that the Air Force particularly is resolved to counter “any misadventure”.
European defence manufacturer MBDA on Thursday congratulated India over the induction of Rafale fighter jets into the Indian Air Force (IAF).
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister of the Armed Forces of France Florence Parly, on Thursday morning, witnessed the traditional `Sarva Dharma Puja` at the Rafale induction ceremony, at Ambala airbase of the IAF.
The `Sarva Dharma Puja` involved recitation of hymns, ayats, and mantras by priests of various religions.
This puja was followed by an air display of Rafale fighter aircraft flanked by SU-30 and Jaguar aircraft in an arrow formation.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) will formally induct the Rafale jets on Thursday (September 10, 2020) at 10 am, at the Air Force Station in Ambala at Haryana. The aircraft will become a part of the 17 Squadron, the "Golden Arrows". The first five Indian Air Force Rafale aircraft arrived at Air Force Station, Ambala on July 27, 2020.
Parly will be accompanied by sizeable defence officials and a defence industry delegation on a special plane and will have a full day of engagements. This will be the first foreign visit of the French Minister after the COVID measures were put in place in France.
