Supreme Court has strongly reprimanded the RRTS project. As per latest reports, Supreme Court has expressed displeasure with the fund transfer and has given one week's time for the fund transfer.

Tunnelling work has begun in the direction of Sahibabad from Anand Vihar station
The tunnel will connect Delhi, Ghaziabad and Meerut through high-speed trains
The 82 km RRTS corridor will have four stations

Alstom will hand over these trains to NCRTC on 7 May 2022
A total of 210 cars for the first RRTS corridor will be delivered
The Priority Section between Sahibabad to Duhai is targeted to be commissioned by 2023

The construction work in the 17-km priority section is carried out in two packages
