The Russian defence ministry reportedly informed that over 34 drones were downed on Sunday, from 8:30 a.m. (0530 GMT) to 3 p.m. (1200 GMT), including one over the territory of the Moscow Region.

US President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he has reduced the 50-day deadline given to Russian President Vladimir Putin from 10 to 12 days to reach a peace deal with Ukraine, CNN reported.

The ministry said 307 Russian servicemen have "returned from Kyiv-controlled territory," while the equivalent number of Ukrainian prisoners was freed as well.
Zelenskyy further emphasised that Ukraine has repeatedly proposed ceasefires and called for sanctions steps from the United States, Europe, and its allies.
The strike comes just hours after officials of Russia and Ukraine held direct peace talks.
In a statement on Sunday, Putin proposed the resumption of direct negotiations with Ukraine on Thursday in Istanbul.
The proposal, which marks one of the most significant pauses in the three-year war, was described by Putin as a humanitarian gesture.
President Zelenskyy said that a ceasefire could have already been reached, but Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly rejected it.
