The Supreme Court on Saturday gave a historic verdict in the decades-old Ayodhya's Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case, directing that Hindus will get the disputed land for the construction of a Ram temple while a suitable plot of land, measuring five acres, will be given to Sunni Waqf Board.
Following the Supreme Court's verdict in Ayodhya's Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case in favour of the construction of Ram Temple, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that this decision should not be seen as a victory or defeat of anyone.
The Supreme Court on Saturday, (November 9, 2019) dismissed the Special Leave Petition (SLP) filed by Shia Waqf Board challenging the order of 1946 Faizabad Court in connection with the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babari Masjid title dispute case.

But the court also ordered that 5 acres of alternate land should be provided to the Sunni Waqf Board in a prominent place in Ayodhya.
