Taking strong exception to Committee of Administrators's (CoA) decision to stall BCCI's Special General Meeting (SGM) on June 22, acting secretary Amitabh Chaudhary has accused Vinod Rai and Diana Edulji of "trying to prevent the General Body from discussing the decisions taken opaquely and without any authority".
The tug of war between the BCCI office bearers and the CoA on Friday took an ugly turn after the Vinod Rai-led committee issued a directive to stop the June 22 Special General Meeting of the affiliated units, to the dismay of the Board's senior officials.
SC has further instructed the BCCI to adopt the Lodha Panel suggestions as far as possible in the July 26 SGM itself.
The Kumble issue is not on the agenda for the SGM but it is likely to be raised by members.
In a letter sent to all the state associations, BCCI acting President C K Khanna said the meeting, which will take place in Mumbai, will have in its seven-point agenda the outcome of the meeting with PCB.
It was decided that no legal recourse will be taken against the ICC as per the diktat of the Committee Of Administrators (COA).
The SGM also confirmed that that the squad for Champions Trophy will be picked on Monday.
The old guard of BCCI is still showing defiance with Srinivasan, 71, deemed disqualified as per the Lodha Committee Reforms which call for an age cap of 70 years.
A section of BCCI officials is eager to pass a resolution in favour of taking legal action against the global body headed by former BCCI chief Shashank Manohar.
The operations of the BCCI are currently being supervised by four court-appointed administrators and the head of the committee, Vinod Rai, said last week that it was "too early" to comment on a possible pullout Champions Trophy.
After suffering a huge blow in ICC's latest meet, the Indian board is now contemplating to hold a SGM to discuss the ongoing issue.
The meeting was attended by most of the veteran members rendered ineligible by SC order based on Lodha reforms.
The meeting will be chaired by BCCI CEO Rahul Johri, as none of the four members of the Vinod Rai-led CoA will be present.
"Mr Shukla is not disqualified as per Supreme Court order. Also the earlier governing council exists. It was Mr Shukla who chaired the meeting," Rai clarified.
The Lodha Committee has demanded removal of all office-bearers and has sought directions from apex court to appoint former Union Home Secretary GK Pillai as an observer.

Last Friday, the three-judge bench led by Chief Justice of India T.S. Thakur had barred the BCCI from releasing funds to the 12 state associations unless they pass a resolution to implement the Lodha panel reforms.
Both BCCI President Anurag Thakur and secretary Ajay Shirke are currently in Cape Town, South Africa.
