India has been invited as a guest to the G7 meeting by the United Kingdom this year.

More than 7.3 billion people living in developing countries should not be deprived of the benefits of growth, said Union civil aviation minister Suresh Prabhu said at World Trade Organization's ministerial meeting of developing countries which concluded in New Delhi on Tuesday. The meeting is taking place at a time when trade tensions show no signs of abating and protectionist tendencies are on the rise which makes it very essential to collectively debate and discuss the way forward in a multilateral framework, added Prabhu.
The Union Minister's direction comes a day after the cash-strapped Jet Airways suspended all its international flights till April 18.
As of Thursday noon, the airline operated just 14 planes -- way down from 123 planes in operations at the peak.
DGCA has also reviewed the performance of Jet on operational, airworthiness and passenger facilitation.
The minister's direction came in the wake of the airliner drastically reducing its operations due to liquidity crunch.
Minister of State for Defence Subhash Bhamre too has demanded hike in the reward rates.
