Wrestling world body UWW had on April 28 warned that it could suspend the Wrestling Federation of India if the deadline to hold elections is not honoured. 

The city police told Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Harjeet Singh Jaspal that a “prime facie” case was made out against Singh and co-accused and suspended WFI assistant secretary Vinod Tomar.

Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has assured that the ongoing probe by Delhi Police against WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh will be completed before June 15.
