The Madras High Court on Wednesday allowed the burial of DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi’s mortal remains near Anna Memorial at Chennai’s Marina beach.
The veteran leader had been receiving treatment at home, but was shifted to the hospital again on Friday night.
DMK President M. Karunanidhi on Saturday turned 94 and party leaders and cadres in large numbers gathered outside his residence here to greet him.
The 92-year-old leader was rushed to the hospital on the night of December 15. Doctors treating him had said that a process was initiated to clear his infection.
