Hyundai plans to launch the Casper Electric, named Inster for overseas markets, in global markets and develop gasoline hybrid models amid the slowdown in electric vehicles.
Passenger car sales dipped by 10.83 per cent to 1.6 lakh from 1.79 lakh in November last year. However, utility vehicle sales gained by 32.7 per cent to 92,739 from 69,884 in the same period.
The country's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) today posted 8.1 per cent rise in total sales in March at 1,39,763 units as against 1,29,345 vehicles in the same month last year.

Tata Motors today reported 10.69 percent increase in total sales at 44,225 units in February, as against 39,951 units in the same month last year.
Yamaha Motor India today reported five percent increase in domestic two-wheeler sales at 54,362 units in October
Ford India today reported a decline of 22.12 % in total sales at 11,630 units in October.
