The Election Commission called Rahul Gandhi’s claim on digital voter lists “false,” stating rolls are downloadable and shared with all recognised parties.

 Referring to allegations made by Tejashwi Yadav about Vijay Kumar Sinha, Paswan said when the NDA alliance had accused the RJD leader of the same, they tried to "brush" the issue under the carpet.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav alleged that Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha has two EPIC numbers in two different assembly constituencies.

He alleged that the results of one Lok Sabha seat in Karnataka were tampered with, calling it a criminal act against the people of the state. He urged the state government to investigate the matter and hold accountable the ECI officials who allegedly enrolled between 1,000 to 15,000 fake voters.

The EC rejected these allegations as "misleading," clarifying that the SIR has not yet been implemented in Tamil Nadu and accused the leader of spreading “false figures” regarding the addition of 6.5 lakh voters there.

The Election Commission said that while eight Maharashtra assembly poll candidates attended the vote verification, two candidates chose not to attend. The ECI said that the EVMs passed the diagnostic tests in all cases.

A day before the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear a batch of pleas challenging the Election Commission's decision to undertake a special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in poll-bound Bihar, ECI On Sunday said that it has successfully concluded the enumeration phase of the Special Summary Revision (SIR) in Bihar, held from June 24 to July 25, 2025.

The Election Commission also shared data put on X by the Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer. The Karnataka CEO on Thursday also refuted the charges by Rahul Gandhi.

The Election Commission said it has received and digitised 7.17 crore Enumeration Forms, accounting for 90.89 per cent of the state's electors. However, 15 lakh forms were not returned.

Bihar SIR: The ECI also found that there are seven lakh duplicate voters enrolled in two constituencies while 26 lakh voters have shifted to another constituency.

According to a press release by the Election Commission of India (ECI), accounting for the deceased, permanently shifted, and people enrolled in more than one place, the EF collection phase of the SIR has covered 90.84 per cent of the nearly 7.9 crore strong electorate in Bihar. Only 9.16 per cent of electors remain to submit their filled EFs before the July 25 deadline.

A delegation of the TDP leaders led by its State president Palla Srinivasa Rao met the Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar and Election Commissioners Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr. Vivek Joshi in New Delhi and shared their concerns related to the SIR.
