External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr S. Jaishankar on Wednesday derided and mocked Rahul Gandhi for ‘alerting’ the government about the China-Pakistan fusion, particularly during the recent military face-off under Operation Sindoor, thereby posing a grave threat to India’s national security. 

Both houses of the Indian Parliament - the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha - took up a debate on Operation Sindoor and the Pahalgam terror attack. 

Congress MP from Wayanad Priyanka Gandhi Vadra launched a direct attack on the Narendra Modi government, questioning the NDA government’s claims of 'normalcy' in Jammu and Kashmir while demanding accountability from Home Minister Amit Shah.

The Finance Ministry is expected to tell everyone when and how the Commission will get started. Members of Parliament, Shri T.R. The Monsoon session of the Parliament is scheduled to commence on July 21 and will run till August 12, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju announced on Wednesday. Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will convene on July 21, marking the start of the session after a gap of over three months.

Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy will introduce a Bill to amend the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017, and the Mental Healthcare (Amendment) Bill, 2024.

Replying to the discussion on the Bill, Rai, Minister of State for Home Affairs, attacked the previous Congress government and the TMC dispensation in West Bengal for "aiding" illegal immigrants enter the country and "facilitating" their stay by including their names in voters' list and ration cards. 

Countering an opposition MP's remark that minorities won't accept the bill, Amit Shah asked was the member trying to threaten the government. The Home Minister said that the UMEED Bill is a law of the Indian government passed by the Parliament and is binding on all.

The LoP also claimed that the Lok Sabha Speaker made an "unsubstantiated remark" about him before adjourning the House.
