The four KV Buildings to be inaugurated are located at KV Nayagarh (Odisha), KV Mahuldiha, Rairangpur (Odisha), KV Hanumangarh (Rajasthan) and KV No 3 Faridabad (Haryana). As per the Ministry of Education, these four KVs have been constructed at a total cost of about Rs 68.60 crores and have been running in temporary buildings till now. About 4000 students will be benefitted with these newly developed campuses in the states of Odisha, Haryana and Rajasthan. All the four new buildings have been reportedly constructed as per ‘Green Building’ norms and facilitated with Rain Water Harvesting System to ensure maximum water conservation. Buildings are constructed barrier-free for easy access to Divyang people. Ample space for Sports and Physical Activities has been allotted for encouraging students towards fitness.

As part of this MoU, educational print materials such as NCERT Textbooks, Teachers Handbook and other Supplementary materials and resources of Class I-XII of all subjects of both Hindi and English Medium will be converted into Indian Sign Language in Digital format. The signing of this MoU is a historic step as availability of NCERT textbooks in Indian Sign Language will ensure that deaf children can also now access educational resources in Indian Sign Language and it will be a useful and much-needed resource for dead students, teachers, parents and the deaf community. This will also ensure educational standardization of Indian Sign Language as mandated in the New Education Policy (NEP), 2020. This MoU will be signed in the virtual presence of Thaawarchand Gehlot, Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Union Minister for Education, Shakuntala Doley Gamlin, Secretary, DEPwD and Anita Karwal, Secretary (SE&L), Ministry of Education.

Centre directed to arrange and implement for thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all areas, furniture, equipment, stationery, storage places, water tanks, kitchens, canteen, washrooms, laboratories, libraries, etc. on the school campus and ensure airflow in indoor space. Schools to form Task Teams such as Emergency Care Support/Response Team, General Support Team for all stakeholders, Commodity Support Team, Hygiene Inspection Team, etc. with earmarked responsibilities will be helpful. Schools may be encouraged to make their own SOPs based on the guidelines issued by States/UTs for the following, keeping in view the safety and physical/social distancing norms, and ensuring that the notices, posters, messages, communication to parents in this regard are prominently displayed/disseminated.

An ideal teacher is the one who instils values in students through his/her conduct." "The policy is such that it will make the teaching-learning experience enjoyable for both students and teachers," said Union Minister. Javadekar added that India would double the Gross Enrolment Ratio within the next 10 years from the current level of about 25%. He said students across the country have become aspirational and economic growth has pushed parental earnestness to provide a good education for their children. "Wider geographical spread of higher education institutions, especially covering rural areas and increased demand would be the critical factors that will improve GER in India," he added.
