On 15th day of their indefinite strike, over 48,000 employees along with leaders and activists of opposition parties, trade unions, teachers and workers took to streets to protest what they call 'dictatorial' attitude of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao.
The High Court suggested to the government to invite the striking employees for talks and also advised the employees to call off the strike and hold talks with the government. The court further asked the government to first appoint a Managing Director for the TSRTC to take the employees into confidence.
The Telangana CM said that RTC is incurring losses to the tune of Rs 1,200 crore and has Rs 5,000 crore debts coupled with the ever-rising the diesel prices.
Security forces are working to counter attempts to provoke Kashmiri youths into taking up gun and will make efforts to bring them back into the mainstream, CRPF said on Saturday.
