All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader VK Sasikala, who is serving a four-year jail term in central prison Parappana Agahara after being convicted in a disproportionate assets case, has met visitors 12 times in a month in blatant violation of rules.
Sasikala will be in jail for three years and about 11 months out of the four years sentence awarded by the trial court.
Senior advocate KTS Tulsi, appearing for Sasikala, said that the leader wanted some time to surrender as she has to manage her affairs.
TTV Dinkaran and S Venkatesh were expelled by late chief minister Jayalalithaa in 2011.
Sasikala was on Tuesday convicted in a corruption case by Supreme Court which dashed her ambition to become the Tamil Nadu CM.
In a major setback for Sasikala Natarajan, the Supreme Court today restored her conviction in decades-old disproportionate assets case.
